How to make Brushed Picture

From [ this ] to [ this ].

01. Open your the image you want.
02. Go to Quick Mask Mode. [ Screenshot ]
03. Select a brush (the color does not matter here AT ALL.), then brush over it on the area that you want shown.
04. Afterwards just type Shift+Q and it will select what you have brushed.
05. Copy this (Edit->Copy) and paste into a new canvas. Screenshot
06. Voilà!
